How do the tele-therapy sessions work?
Sessions are held over a secure portal where the client(s) have a private password and link to access for added security. With this private/secure portal homework assignments are provided & completed, and appointments are booked, rescheduled, or canceled. The tele-therapy sessions are held virtually, with the therapist where you see each other and talk with each other in a confidential/private virtual face-to-face setting (similar to Skype &/or Zoom).
What type of equipment must I have to access the client portal and engage in the virtual therapy sessions?
To talk with the therapist via video, you will need to have a laptop, PC, &/or cellular phone where you can access the protected confidential client portal at your scheduled time. You will log in through the tele-therapy portal room and then your therapist will prompt you to start the video session. After you confirm, you will immediately begin the video session with your therapist. It’s an easy and straight-forward process.
How do I log in to my session?
Once you have been setup by Traci with a client login, you will use the button tat the top right of this website to access your secure client portal. Once logged in, you can access your therapy session, schedule and re-schedule appointments and more.
How do I schedule my appointment?
The easiest way is to reach out directly to Traci through the Contact page on this site to have her help you schedule your session. Once you are an existing client, you may also use your secure Client Portal to schedule sessions.
How much do the tele-therapy sessions cost?
The average cost of each tele-therapy session at Tele-Talks with Traci is:
$150 for a 60 minute session
$175 for a 75 minute session
These are billed weekly after each session.
You can also pre-purchase sessions to receive a discount.
A block of 10 individual sessions costs $1,430 or a block of 10 couples sessions costs $1,650
These discounted rates must be paid in full before the first session.
I also offer a sliding scale available as well, that is contingent upon one’s financial status
Can I utilize my insurance for Tele-Talks with Traci &/or be reimbursed by my insurance?
Tele-Talks with Traci does not accept insurance. Although the counseling offered at Tele-Talks with Traci is not covered by health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, you are provided with the invoices, and may be able to utilize such in order to be reimbursed by your insurance provider. *Please check, prior to scheduling a session, if you are eligible for partial or full reimbursement with your insurance provider if this is a concern for you; as many do offer such an option.

One of the modalities that Tele-Talks with Traci utilizes is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is a valuable treatment tool because it can be used for many different types of addictions including, but not limited to food addiction including, alcohol addiction, sex addiction, prescription drug addiction, etcetera. With more than two decades in behavioral health counseling, this is an area of expertise for the work done in Tele-Talks with Traci.
How does Traci qualify in the state of California to be a licensed therapist?
Traci is licensed, trained, experienced, and attended an accredited school to qualify to sit for the licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT) examination. Traci has a Masters's Degree in the field of Counseling Psychology. She has been qualified and certified by the state's professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training, and practice. Traci has been working as a counselor for more than two decades. In addition to the clinical license, she also holds a Certification as an addiction specialist. Is marriage and family therapy counseling confidential?
Providing a safe and confidential environment to couples and individuals is of the highest importance. As a therapist Traci is required, by law, to respect the client's confidentiality. California’s state and federal laws dictate that a licensed therapist is only required to disclose information when a client is a danger to self &/or a danger to others.
